What is Murmur?
Murmur is a carefully curated collection of gently loved apparel and accessory items for stylish ladies. We consign items, and also buy items outright.
Why Murmur?
Murmur founder Alyssa created the site in hopes of bringing efficiency to the vast resale market. Traditional outlets for bargain used finds were musty, messy, and generally disorganized. Label lovers on a budget can now shop without ever leaving home on an e-commerce site that is bright, easy to navigate, and just like their favorite boutiques and store-in-stores. Additionally, Murmur hopes to make it easy for consignors to make some extra cash from clothing that just sits in their closets, unworn for months, or in donation-bound bags that are too heavy and cumbersome to transport. Murmur offers free donation pick ups in Manhattan, and hopes to expand this capability nationwide.
Shipping & Delivery
We offer a flat rate shipping fee of $8.95 per order within the United States. If you place an order totaling $75 or more, your order will ship for free. We currently ship within 48 hours of receiving your order. Once your package leaves our shipping facilities, it should get to you within 3 to 5 business days. If you live in New York City, you may receive it even sooner! If you would like expedited or international shipping, please contact us.
Privacy & Security
Your privacy and data security are of the utmost importance to us. We will never sell your information to any third party solicitors. All transactions are executed via secure servers.
Returns & Replacements
We want you to be happy with your purchases. If you would like to return any or all of your order, you may do so within 14 days of receiving your order. The items you are returning must be in the same condition as they were when you received them. Please contact us if you would like to make a return so we can issue you a return authorization number. Any returns without a return authorization number will not be processed. A 10% return processing fee will be deducted from the value of your return. We do not offer exchanges.

Viewing Orders
If you would like to access your order history, you can do so by clicking the "My Account" link at the top right of the page. You'll need to have first created an account.
Updating Account Information
If you would like to change your shipping or billing address, or want to modify your newsletter subscription with us, you can do so via the "My Account" link at the top right of the page.
Clothing Conditions
Our clothing and accessory items are either pre-owned/used, or new. We will always specify one of four conditions under the "Additional Information" tab in each item view. These conditions include: "New - With Tags / Box", "New - Without Tags / Box", "Like New", and "Excellent". Items with "New" in their condition description have never been used before, and are in perfect condition. Items that are "Like New" are in perfect condition, but have been used. Items in "Excellent" condition may have some evidence of wear, but no significant defects that would prevent you from wearing the item even more! Examples of wear on "Excellent" items are slight pilling on sweaters, a missing replaceable button, or hanger marks. We will do our best to call out these wear signs in the item's "Additional Information".
